Description
The Inner World is the playing field of meaning, imagination, reflection, purpose, and the relationship we cultivate within ourselves. It is where we begin listening beyond what we have inherited, what other players expect of us, and what our learned expectations have taught us to anticipate.
Within this World, we begin recognizing two distinct operating systems that have become highly fragmented from past player games, first world, and other world experiences. Our task is to reunite them as one coherent operating system.: the Receptive Mode and the Directive Mode. One creates space to listen, sense, imagine, reflect, receive, and express what is emerging from within. The other helps us choose, organize, establish boundaries, take action, and give structure to what we discover. Developing access to both allows our internal experience to become part of how we consciously participate in our lives.
Exploring the Inner World is not about withdrawing from life. It is about developing an internal relationship strong enough to support how we live within it. As we learn to listen, imagine, choose, and create from within, we develop a greater capacity to bring meaning, purpose, and conscious direction into the worlds and relationships around us.
